That color chart is pretty accurate for F-Types except for Silver for most years. Hard to believe but is one of the less popular colors for our cats.

Then people go to the dealer and see what they want but only in one of those colors so they buy it (vast majority of dealer buyers buy off of inventory). And it repeats itself.
You make a good point. It would be interesting to see the color preferences of those that factory ordered their car. With the F-Type, I suspect, BRG would be near the top rather than at the bottom of the list.

Hi Ftyperegistry. Great work on researching and sharing the manual F-Type's etc.!!

As owner (Toronto, Canada) of VIN ***28086, I can confirm my MY 2016 manual coupe (base, with various options, 340 hp) is indeed Ammonite Grey.

If I understand correctly, insofar as manual F-Type's in Canada:

2019 - 7
2018 - 1
2017 - ??
2016 - 6

Look forward to your confirmation.

Many thanks!!

No. I think you got the numbers a little mixed up
2019 - 7
2018 - 3
2017 - 28
2016 ~50-60

Noted and thanks! Still a very rare cat. Even in Toronto, I only rarely see an F (regardless of year / model / vert / coupe / manual or auto).

I did factory order mine, and picked Satellite Gray. It would be the data for the '14 V8S OTS trim that interested me as I was told by the dealer about a month after I got the car that that that particular gray had been dropped from the option sheet for some reason. The only Fs I've seen in the wild in Indiana have been Black, White, or Red, which kind of supports Unhingd's national numbers model. Thanks, cjp

Around 700? There were a lot for sale last year, maybe because they were the first V8 Ftypes to go out of warranty? Maybe I should feel lucky to have one!

Correct around 700 is my guesstimate. Based it on the fact that there were between 2100-2300 2014 F-Types sold in the US and a third of the sale listings back then were for F-Type S V8s

Those colors along with Ammonite Grey/Corris Grey are the most popular for almost all trims. Followed closely by British Racing Green. Except for F-Type SVRs and Project 7s, which are on the opposite sides of the spectrum. A little More than half of all Project 7s are BRG. On the other hand for SVRs very hard to find one in BRG. For example out of the entire run of 678 US SVRs only 10 are BRG.

Unfortunately no, I do not have any R production numbers and I only have global data for F-Type SVRs and F-Type manuals. So those are the only numbers I have for UK. You can get a good estimate by looking your model up on this site which tell you how many are registered. https://www.howmanyleft.co.uk/

Interesting.

Last time I was in for service the manager told me that there were "only about 100" manuals in Canada - I didn't believe him! Thought that number was way too low.

Ftyperegistry - This is an amazing piece of research. Any conclusion to the split between coupe/convertible S manuals in model years?

I'm a new owner of a 17 Coupe S Manual. H8 K40121.

64 manual convertibles in the US for 2017. I don't recall the base/s info off the top of my head. But Base/S for 2016 was like a 60/40 split.

This is probably because these were owners that actually ordered them as opposed to the ones that bought dealer inventory which were mostly base models.
I didn't order mine but the color combination suggests that SOMEONE had ordered it and then declined delivery. I acquired it as a never-titled vehicle from a Louisiana dealership in late 2017. Still the original owner but about to kill the warranty...miles before age. What can I say...it begs to be driven.

What color combination is it?
