i don't know about white but a silver would look great.
obviously a different exterior color but similar interior. https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.jag...d2d484e01f.jpg |
When I painted my other cars calipers, I made sure to clean them really good with brake cleaner, than I took a small steel brush and got any gloss of the old paint. I wiped it down again and put on two coats and it came out great. Prep is the key with it.

Caliper paint

It seems most people paint the anti-rattle clip as well as the rest of the caliper. I think I will leave the clip unpainted. I prefer the contrast

So ordered the G2 silver kit. Hopefully it's hear next week so I can get the calipers painted before the weekend. I also ordered the high temp vinyl Jaguar sticker, hopefully it turns out well. Hired the wife to help attempt the job with me lol she is an artist so I am hoping she can paint the calipers while I watch and do all the light work lol

Can she come paint mine too? :P

You can all sing:
Painting the rotors red We're painting the rotors red We dare not stop or waste a drop So let the paint be spread |
So started the project today. I'll post pics tomorrow. Quick insight the G2 paint is good but it does leave some paint brush marks. Also you can definitely tell that it has been painted. Meaning it doesn't look like brembos. Maybe it was my prep work but I spent a good 40 min on each caliper. Once it's finished drying I'll get some photos up. Last but not least I bought two kits 1 for the front and one for the rear. I found that the 3m break cleaner works much better then the one supplied by G2.

Your car looks perfect just the way it is. Classy. I wouldn't change a thing. Beautiful car.

Silver calipers
Great choice on the silver calipers. Less is more on such a beautiful car. I just bought my first Jaguar.

Weren't the red performance calipers standard on the V8S? Why are they black?

I sold my 1970 Pontiac GTO, black on black, 4-speed ram air 400 cubic inch so I could buy my 2010 Jaguar XK in Indigo Blue with only 14,00 miles on it. Then I powdercoated the stock 19" Caravela wheels an indigo blue color. They don't exactly match, but they blend pretty nicely I think. ( I hope ) I have been driving a 2004 BMW M3 for 13 years. I have wanted a Jaguar since I was 14 years old when my step dad drove a 1960 Mark 2 Jag with wire wheels. Man, was it a beauty !!!

G2 Red Paint
2 Attachment(s)
Just finished painting front calipers with G 2 red paint. I did three coats. Waiting for it to dry before I replace the anti-rattle springs which I left unpainted. These will be replaced with any brake job and probably not with the same color red anyway. I will do the rears on another day. I apportioned 40% for the rears. I converted the 3.5 fl ozs of paint and 1/2 fl oz of reactant to ccs and poured 40% of that into graduated tubes from my lab. I will use that for the rears which are much smaller. The remainder was enough to do three coats on the fronts and then some. Love the glossy sheen. Red calipers were a $1650 option. The G2 paint was $40. I bought two foam paint brushes, one about two inches wide for the wide areas and one quarter inch for the detail work. No hairs or brush marks. I don't see how anyone can get a good result using the tiny hair brush that is supplied. I jacked up the car using a floor jack and a grooved rubber disc both for the jack and jack stand using the pinch weld track behind the triangular marker. No damage to any plastic or metal peices.
