Default Retrofit 2016+ gauge cluster to 2015?

I’m curious if it’s possible to retrofit the 2016+ gauge cluster with circular digital fuel and temp gauges into a 2015 car. Is there some sort of coding/anti theft, or is it a dumb screen? Does the dealer need to program mileage? Are the connectors the same?

4 years on this forum and I’ve never heard of anyone doing this. Probably very complicated if at all possible. Unlikely to be a plug & play.

I remember looking at doing this on my discovery. there are all sorts of complications related to the odometer. if dash reading doesn't match ecu and or alarm module car will never run. I would guess this would be similar

Most things can be achieved if you throw enough time and money at them. In this case it's probably easier and cheaper to trade the 2015 in for a 2016...
