Hello All,

I'd like some insight on why my wipers wont turn on.

I know its an electrical/controller issue because when I short out the relay for the wipers, they turn on properly.

I checked all the fuses and relays in the car to make sure they work so that isn't an issue, I made sure that the wires are not shorting to ground, and I changed out the wiper stalk to make sure thats not a problem.

Currently my suspicion is there is an issue with the body control module or maybe the restrain control module is turning them off if thats possible because the only thing that I dont have working and connected on the vehicle is the two front impact sensors which I dont think should affect wipers.

could someone give some insight on what might be the issue?

 

Does your washer fluid pump work when you operate it? The CJB is the message sender/receiver from wiper switch to wiper motor and washer fluid pump. may want to check if any signals are going to CJB from stalk before replacing CJB.

the washer pump does not work when I use it on the stalk, I am unsure where the CJB connects to the stalk to check the signal.

 

You could always try to jump the relay for your wipers and see if that works. If it does, you're looking at a control issue going to wipers and washer system. You may need to pull codes and see what is going on there.
