Default Satisfaction

Took a couple of hours today to detail my IRR F.

Use paintbrush to clean all the seams on the dash. Cleaned all the surfaces inside with a chamois. Used Zaino Z9 leather cleaner followed by Zaino Z10 leather in a bottle on the seats and leather surfaces.

Washed and chamoised the exterior, then used ZainoZ-AIO all in one polish followed by Zaino Z-CS clear coat.

So rewarding when you sitbitbout in the sun afterwards and see the results. What a stunning car and what a stunning colour.

Treating leather with proper oil-based solution is Very Important. If this isn't done couple times a year the leather dries, hardens, and start cracking when flexing.

I was hugely surprised how dry leather on my car seats was when I took delivery. It certainly sat for considerable time somewhere in the warehouse before getting used for upholstery. I don't think it is too-far-gone yet, but I am doing weekly treatments to have it re-hydrated.

Some interior colors are more sensitive (or more visible) to drying and cracking. I have white interior, so I have to stay on top of that as any flaws will be visible miles away. Black interior is more forgiving, but it will suffer more if left in the sun a lot.

To help others, here is what I think leather surfaces that have to be treated:

1. Seats (except fake suede, if equipped such)
2. Steering wheel
3. Gear shift cover (not 100% certain)
4. Door inserts, around door handle
5. Trim + brace handle around gearshift area

Those blade wheels really accentuate the IRR. Beautiful combo. Thanks for the photos.

Have you used the Zaino exterior products before? How easy are they to use? I briefly read there website info, and with so many products out there its a challenge to know what to go with. I bought some Black pinnacle clear coat, that is supposed to last a couple of years but did not apply it to my old car as you need to clay bar, Polish etc. and cure indoors. Your experience would be helpful, as I'd like to stay with a family of products that reduce the effort to keep up the look.

I used only Zaino on my Corvette for years. Very easy stuff to use. I do not think it beads water as well as some products but it gives a superior, deep shine.

You need to tuck that radar detector wire around the seam of the window and plug it directly into the fuse box. Simple to do, frees up a power plug, and gets rid of the ugly wire.

It's actually a dash cam, radar detector are illegal here. I actually have a hard wire kit for it, I just haven't gotten around to having someone install it yet.

Only on this car. I chose the all in one product and the clear coat specifically for the ease of use, I haven't done the clay bar stuff yet, but will at some point. With these products I just wash the car, apply the liquid all in one and let dry and then polish off with a microfiber cloth, then you just spray on th clear coat, use a clean cotton cloth to spray it evenly around and then let dry and that's it. Very easy and really nice shine.
