Default Service Required Message? Why?

Hi all-

I just got a service required message pop up on my console. The oddity is it was in for the 1yr 16K service in March 2017 with 2654 miles- now at a whopping 3975 miles on the odometer it wants to go back in?

Should I reset this, call the dealer or what? Anyone else see this?

I really don't like taking her in to the dealer unless there is a reason to do so, as they tend to do more harm than good.

Inquiring minds want to know

You can reset it yourself: https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/a...ator-reset.pdf

Thanks I reset it...was actually very easy to do, although I couldn't tell if it worked until I tried to redo the procedure.

Did it flash "service required" while the car was turning on?

Thats what mine does and I just bought it last week.

Yup it did, and it flashed miles to countdown. Also showed it on the phone app.
