Default Show me your wrapped F-Type!

All,

I’m thinking of wrapping my F-Type in a darker shade of silver or grey. Has anyone here wrapped their F-Type in either of these colors?

If so, please post your photos!

Thanks!

Hi, here is an older thread on it you might find something in as there are a few silver and grey ones in it https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/f...-types-239347/

There was also a particularly hideous gold F Type in the movie "Collide" (actually a good show, the Jags are the real stars), which is worth looking at if only to see what not to do https://rogersmovienation.com/2017/0...-help-collide/

Mine is wrapped with Matte Grey Aluminium - I added carbon fiber side and hood vents, wing mirrors and blacked out the badges.

It's not dark but I love how it looks, there are pictures in my profile and in the link in the previous message.

Default Wrapped F-Type

Hi Donny,
Tried to upload this before but it disappeared into the ether.
My advice is to check the colour you choose on a car before you decide.
Original colour was Crystal Grey, the wrap is 3M 2080 Gloss Metallic Midnight Blue.
It's very dark.

I badly wanted a red F-Type convertible. I live in New Zealand and there are very few here. I looked into wrapping but chose to wait, about two years. I have finally found a 2016 in Japan, it will be here in a few days after waiting for nearly 2 months. Only 19,000ks, genuine.

It has been serviced by the importing dealer, but I will change the transmission oil, can any of you tell me about anything I should have done?

Best regards to you all for 2016,
TrevorD, from New Zealand.
PS, I am 87 this year, still young.

Why change the transmission oil after only 19,000kms? Asuming it's an auto, ZF say 60,000 miles for a fluid change, and there are specific procedures to follow to do it right - it's not a case of just drain and refill.

Thanks. I was just wondering if there was a time limit as well. Apparently not by what you said. I did my XK at 100,000ks, as per the book.

Cheers

This is F-Type in EXPEL Stealth PPF that gives the Carpathian Grey a satin finish. It often compared to the batmobile, lol.

Looks great either way, but yeah, the satin finish is hot! Those wheels, though, are...formidable! Are they OE? What are they called?

Thanks! The wheels are Jaguar 20's but I bought them off face book so I don't know their history.
