Vanity plates in UK are a big business. Plates are owners property and can be sold on.

Makes $50 a year seem like a bargain, although with less investment potential..

And this is apparently a thing now. Digital license plate. $700 + a monthly fee. Nope, not doing that...

Yes, I'll pay the $25 yearly fee to get the plate I want (and the more I see it, the more I like the plain with just the peach in the center as it does go well with the Firesand) - I may try the thin, plain black and see what I think - can always put that on a different vehicle if I don't like it better (I don't think I'd bother if the plate was smooth to the edge, but since there's a ridge there I may prefer the frame). Of course now that I've purchased a car since they revised our car tag fees, I'm making out like a bandit just paying that fee yearly (along with the usual $25 for annual registration). Before this I was still on the old ad valorem tax yearly. It was quite the birthday present from the state to have to go get your emissions done ($19-35), then pay the tag fee, PLUS the ad valorem tax on what they currently valued your car at. So last year for my birthday I paid almost $200 for an 11 year old car that apparently they valued more highly than even the most delusional seller. I'll take the set $50 fee that I'll have now any day! I do agree that we shouldn't have to pay for the "special" part yearly, but I'll save my energy to fight other battles. It appears that the county sent out new property tax information that is arriving at my house today for example (although the website isn't updated yet). Can't wait to see how much THAT went up this year. I may be in with the 80% or so who will be appealing (didn't last time because they suddenly realized we had added a garage and were afraid that they'd charge us more if we appealed). How's that for a tangent today?

PBBarb that is the stock they have on hand--that said you may order almost anything they have with a JCNA logo! had I posted the stock items then the comment would be--"I do not see plate frames"!
of course the phone number would have prevented the comments--no call! LOL

Thanks for the info, but my goal would be to have a white background license plate. NY State reverted to gold and blue awhile back and it clashes with my Polaris white car. I can get a white background if I get a "profession" plate or another type of themed custom plate (parks, various organizations, and only BMW or Porsche club). Was thinking it would be nice to have a white background JCNA club plate (I'm still waiting for my 60th anniversary emblem I ordered from JCNA). The profession plate that I qualify for has least cluttered white background (no logos) but has the profession name across the bottom. Not sure I want to express that. I am not interested in a custom vanity plate let alone an expression of my profession. I suppose I could cover the lettering with a white frame. I think this falls into Uncle Fishbits minor mods category.

Looks like they have them in white but have not explored that. They are a promotional company so bet they can do what you wish. BTW if you are waiting on your 60th you must have ordered after the end of March. You missed the first two batch orders but yours should be there NLT next week. Several hundred folks have had theirs for 5 months or more. There was an announcement to all clubs that there was a delay at the port although no reason was given for the delay.
