Default Speakerphone quality

Curious to know if this is common for everyone, or if I am just lucky and need to try and sort with the dealer.

When you are on speakerphone (via Bluetooth), is the quality so poor that the people you are speaking with can barely understand you? This is generally at highway speeds in a '15 coupe.

I finally got a Bluetooth headset so I could make calls, but I keep thinking I shouldn't have to resort to this. Same phone and same drive as when I had my BMW and more than half the time people never even knew I was in the car.

I've got the opposite - my missus says that this is the first car that she can hear me in. I'd go to the dealer.

I have the same issue - was told that I could barely be heard on the other end. Phone is iPhone 6+.

+1. It's better than the mouth piece on the iPhone itself., but I do always roll up the windows on those rare occasions when I am willing to talk while driving.

Mine is quite good - I'm able to use it with the top down, with the windows up.

I've been told I can be heard clearly with the top down (and windows up) at ~40+mph. Not sure if the MY matters

Not sure where the microphone is, but it must be close to the flasher relay. I've been told that it comes through loud and clear. No complaints otherwise, but calls while driving are rare.

Top down, windows up - no problem w/speakerphone up to at least 45-50mph.

Need to speak up a bit but it seems to be fine (the car is just more noisy).

Thanks for the replies. Seems the consensus that my needing to practically shout is not the norm.

haha, yes my missus says that the indicator sound is really loud over the phone, though it is pretty loud in the car as well

don't necessarily blame the car. There are two parties in a bluetooth pairing. Could be your phone. Is your OS up to date?

Same here. It sounds so much better than in my Q50 that I might as well be in the same room as the person calling me. Top up frantastic. Top down windows closed I just need to be under 50.

No issues here and haven't had any complaints with any of the calls I've been on during my drive.

No problem with mine either. I've been on several calls with top down and windows up at freeway speeds.

Another one here with excellent quality, also can make calls with top down at highways speeds with the windows up. No complaints at all.

I'm convinced the mic is in the turn signal stalk itself, as I too constantly receive complaints about how loud the indicator noise is.

No complaints about voice quality, however.

I have found it to be very good. Even the Just Drive voice recognition works perfectly over the interior microphone.

I love taking conference calls from the F-Type. I sometimes take them in dynamic mode so my colleagues can hear the exhaust! Always gets a reaction.
