Default Sport or luxury floormats

The standard carpet floormats in my SVR leave a lot to be desired. They're thin, flimsy, and have an awkward grippiness to them. I've owned more cars than I care to remember and swapping out floormats has never even crossed my mind until now.

Has anyone tried the "luxury" floormats? Pics would be great. I'm curious to see how close they are in color to the rest of the carpet.

Thanks

The fanciest Aventador has pretty much Line-X for floormats so everything is relative I guess.

I went with Cocomats because I like the look and they are easy to keep clean.

Yep. Very familiar. I've had what was essentially a piece of felt with edge piping in past Ferraris. This car however serves me a different purpose.

You drive it through the winter wearing crampons?

They do rubber mats if that's what you want.

Yes, I have both a set of sport mats and a set of luxury mats...those are nice and plush. For daily, I just use the sport mats as the are easy to clean and I don't care if they get mucked up. I only treat myself to the luxury mats for long road trips when I'm likely to drive without shoes for much of the time. Makes the tootsies feel soooo good! Pics later (if I remember).

In my XK8 I had the lambs wool mats. Always a comfort.

I live in a 4 season climate and like the way weathertech mats contain everything.

I've gone from seasonal switching between carpet and rubber mats to keeping Lloyd Berber 2 mats in year-round in all my cars. They look good, wear well, don't shed, handle the winter, and wash easily.

They look good. Thank you.

Just ordered them along with a dead-pedal to match the OEM gas/brake. My feet will be happy.

I would like a pair of the luxury mats as well, but so far the only sellers I can find specify "MY2016 onwards only".
Why would that be so?
What changed with the floor between MY2015 and MY2016?
The only thing I can think of is the introduction of the MT (thanks a bunch Lance!), and that involved a reshape of the floor, at least on the driver's side.

Don't know for sure, but I'm going to guess it has to do with the plastic hooks and grommets to keep the mats from sliding forward. Perhaps there was some legislation passed after the Toyota gas pedal fiasco, but I've never cared enough to confirm.

The plot thickens (no pun intended, honest Guv'nor!).
We're talking the Luxury Carpet Mats (in JLR speak) and RHD only at this point.
Nearly all listings are for part #T2R16571PVJ, they all say "MY2016 onwards", and some of them also say "AWD". So I'm betting the change from MY2015 to MY2016 was to cater for AWD, which I presume involved a small change somewhere to the floor shape on all F-Types and not just the AWD versions.
For pre MY2016 the part # is T2R5506, and most of those show the same pic as the part #T2R16571PVJ listings but some show a pic of what is obviously the "base" or "sports" mats. Also, the T2R5506 listings cost more than the T2R16571PVJ listings, and most say "Luxurious, tailored 2,050g/m2 pile front carpet mats with embossed Jaguar logo and nubuck edge binding".
So I reckon I will take the plunge and buy a set of T2R5506, and if they turn out to be the "sports" mats (which I already have) then at least I will have a spare set!

The shape is a bit different but the location of the hook holes is the real differentiator. Changed to handle the changes needed to accommodate the AWD and MT in 2016. when I first ordered the luxury mats I ended up with the early set. I'll post the part numbers for the early set of luxury mats tonight.

The Premium Mats part # you are looking for is T2R5505. That number applies to VINs through K22184.

T2R5506 is the sport mat.
