Well some disturbing news. Supercars on State Street may be over after growing rapidly these last few years. As best as I've learned to date there is a dispute between several of the family members who founded and organise the event. Not sure the nature of the dispute but at least one of the family has posted a thank you and announced the end of the event. Rumour has it others are trying to find a way to keep it going. More as I learn it.

In other news the August event at the Winery at Elk Manor has also been cancelled. The owner of the venue has plead guilty and been indicted on several counts of fraud, tax evasion and the location is no longer in play. They owe millions to customers of his many businesses including the winery. The show organisers are looking for alternatives for next year and the winery owner owes them thousands as well.

Let's hope both event find new life and can continue to help the charities they honor and support.

the motorweek piece, most of it is my car crew ML including our breakfast but your cars are visible too. by the way one of the issues why this may not happen again is that a girl (also form the DC car scene) laid on Sunir's Lambo's hood for pictures which ended in a facebook rant and Evan had it ... but who knows ...

The official video of this year's (and apparently last) Supercars On State Street was just released. FTYPEs get some love at the 15:50 mark.

 

The event has been resurrected by the original founders and linked now with a road rally for charity. Its September 22-23 and features several events including the display on State Street in Harrisburg PA but also a road rally that will run from central PA to Pocono Raceway for three hot laps and then back to Harrisburg for the display.

Unfortunately I can't go this years as I committed to be at Katie's Cars and Coffee in VA then to go to a charity softball tournament for my company in Fairfax that day. Perhaps others are interested in attending and organizing a good Ftype showing.
