Tint on windows?
As a thought, while my F-Type is legal, I've had past cars that were illegally dark and never had a problem. The only people I know of who have ever had a legal problem are those who tend to attract cops attention in a negative way, which nice cars generally don't do.

The guy in the 20 year old stanced civic with a fart can or the person driving the new F-Type?
Cops see cars like ours and think "That person probably is affluent and will be a pain my ***", not "I wonder if they have drugs in the car".
I've driven both very cheap cars and very expensive cars. The very cheap cars got me hassled by the cops. In the expensive cars I'm left alone.
It makes total sense BECAUSE of profiling. Who is more likely to have a bad interaction with cops or be a street criminal?

So, I mean, there's unfortunately a racial component everywhere, but even in NY (where I'm from originally) I always experienced that being clearly affluent gets you better treatment from law enforcement (and basically everyone else) than being poor.
The only drug dealers driving the nice cars are the high level folks whereas most cops are just looking for to catch the dangerous and stupid criminals who are generally in POS cars.
All that being said, I'm fine with agreeing to disagree if you prefer.

In Maryland, whenever ownership changes and by a state certified inspection station. (Most dealerships and service stations).
Well...I'm guessing that drug dealer driving around in an Escalade is far more affluent than I. However, I probably know how to spend my money far more wisely than he/she.
Ah, if it's not an annual thing that seems easy enough to get around. Put the tint on once you own the car and then remove it when it's time to sell. Or the new owner can likely just find someone to pass the car with a well placed $50.
BTW Foosh, as you suggested, I have had no issue with the Euro profile front plate in the past 5 months.

The flaw with that argument is that we know that the county mounties here are compulsively looking for missing front plates and blue dot tail lights. I would guess tinting fits their list of personal phobias as well.

I didn't notice that, but it looks great! I think I didn't notice because it fits the rest of the car so well.
I've been bouncing back and forth on powder coating my gyrodynes. I think your pics have convinced me to go for it.
