Default 2016 v6S USB not recognizing iPhone 6

Though the Bluetooth links up, the cars USB port does not recognize my iPhone 6 is physically cconnecting . I've tried several wires including the apple OEM but nothing makes a difference. Though Bluetooth covers most elements the car came with incontrol and I would like to use some of the apps, especially a park whiz.
Any thoughts or suggestions? Thanks

Had the same problem. Tried different cables, phones etc but gave up. One day when starting the car it suddenly worked again and has worked since... Never understood why and how.

Interesting. Maybe the car is a slow learner. I am going to see if there are any software updates, albeit the update process is inconvenient.
Thanks for the hopeful reply

1. Is this the first car you have tried to use with inContol? If not, you may have to take it through the setup again.
2. Do you have the app open in your iPhone before you plug in? That will streamline the connection process. In fact, if any other app is actively open in the iPhone it will not connect.

I did have the app open but likely a bunch of others as well, will shut them down and try it out - thanks

(...and the obvious question, which I guess you checked already - you did use the correct USB port for InControl?)

A better question is - have you tried rebooting your phone? Mine didn't connect the first time I tried. A simple reboot of the phone fixed it. Not everything is the fault of the car.
