I gave my dealer a deposit three weeks ago for a 16 R and now they are telling me the ordering system is down. Anyone else getting the same message?

I don't know specifically about the ordering system, but my dealer told me he was unable to track my car since Saturday because, "their system is down".

He's now just waiting for a call or email from his service manager letting him know my car has arrived. Sounds like it's the entire Jaguar "system"...

I have also gotten this from my dealer. This better not mean they can't pay for the car, because it won't ship till they do.

Think I may be able to help here. I was told last week that JLR were either implementing or upgrading their SAP software. In my experience this usually means .....on reflection, I won't go there.

But anyway, that could well be the reason.

In my Copropate America management speak I can translate to... SAP is so damn complicated that even the user guides don't make sense, AND the SAP employees are often lost too.... Makes me want to go back to a time clock and punch card and manually add payroll hours.

I just signed the check and my 2016 IRR AWD R Coupe is officially mine. Of course, since I'm getting her Xpel protected, I've got 2 days before I officially bring get her home.

Hummmm. And here I thought you already had her. I guess I didn't read my score-card of who has what when (* Other than knowing Lance is still waiting and Stohlen, who I hope gets his damn soon!).

Happy motoring & CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Best regards,
Jay

Lucky *******. Mine is still sitting in the port with a destroyed transmission module. Missed another promised ship date yesterday with no new ETA. Jaguar tried to tell me I'm not the only one facing these delays but I find that very hard to believe...

Did anyone have any clue as to HOW the Transmission module got "destroyed"?

Mine has been sitting in Halifax Autoport for over a week. Jaguar Canada says that it will get on a train "within the week".
