Default Top Trumps 50k Miles

Had my Ftype for 2 years. Got to the England/Scotland border on Thursday to find I've done excatly 50,000 miles in the car. Anyone beat that?

That's the most I've heard. I have 33,000 miles, but I store mine in the winter.

Scotland would be even more awesome in an F-type.

There's your problem! Stay NORTH of the border and the scenery is so much nicer that you'll be at 100,000 miles before you know it...

Would be good for a 50K member to post some feedback on what us younger members can expect....

So mine is a base 340ps. 50k miles in and it's running as great as ever. I've been getting though a rear set of tyres every 18k miles, and fronts have lasted 36k miles! Still on the first set of brake disks and pads. Had 3 services and all reasonable. No nasty surprises.

The exhaust sounds better than ever - seems to mature with age. I don't have active exhaust and having driven so many miles more than happy with this as the noise level is just right - not to much, not too little.

Have done a 2500 mile tour via France and Switzerland, to Germany, and back through France to the UK. Fantastic - really comfy the whole way. Typlically getting >30 mpg and some motorway trips of 200 miles >35mpg.

Only issues have been -
(1) Loose window in drivers door, fixed at 10k
(2) Vinbrating speaker in drivers door, fixed at 5k
(3) Crappy InControl that can't be upgraded and won't work with JustDrive - sold a pup there

Things I have that I don't use -
(1) High Beam assist - don't like it. Came as a package with the swivelling heads, which are great.

Am currently running Dunlop winter tyres which on wet/icy roads are great.

Thankfully it's on a 3 year 75k leasse, so when it's worthless next year I will get another.
