TPMS accuracy
Never doubted the onboard readings before today. Checked on cold tires and was surprised to see passenger rear measuring 40 psi. Checked with two different gauges and it was actually 36 so I wound up adding some air. Cluster in the dash still says 40. Other tires all matched the TPMS reported number. It's just this one. Any ideas? Bad sensor?
nah, they change live in the moment - can see this by having the screen up on the dash while putting air in the tires
today the same tire was reading accurately. no explanation for what i was seeing yesterday.

Some TPMS sensors go to sleep after sitting for a bit. Just moving the car some wakes them up again. Had this happen on a 2015 grand cherokee. Driving it in and out of the garage again restored true real-time reading. It had been sitting for a couple days and it kept reading same psi until we moved it... Really had us confused...
