Default TPMS error with new wheels

I just changed my 19s on my 6S to take off 20s that came with tires on them from another forum members R. When I made the change, I first got a low pressure warning from a front tire. Pressure was fine when checked. Next time I started car I had a sensor error message. Do I need to recalibrate? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Do you know what year the donor wheels came off of? Earlier years had 315mhz sensors. Newer years uses 433mhz sensors.

If that's that's the case then you'll need new sensors. 2014MY have the 315mhz sensors. FTYPEs built after mid 2015 came with 433mhz sensors.

I just had an issue changing my wheels as well. I ordered a set of HRE wheels for my car. They arrived with new tires mounted, complete with TPMS sensors. Well, one of sensors had a leak... went to my local Discount Tire to have them replace it. They have a 433 mhz sensor, but for some reason, my car didn't see it. Hmmm. So, they suggested I get one from Jaguar, which I did. I called my local dealer, gave them my VIN, picked up the sensor, which had the proper part number on the package... Lo and behold, it is a 315 mhz one! *******s!
Anyway, I took one of the Orbits I took off of the car to DT, they removed the sensor and put it on the HRE wheel in question and all is good. I will return the wrong sensor to my dealer and get my $112 back.
Oh, BTW, in my experience, I did have to drive the car for about 2 miles for it to recognize the sensors.

I have two sets of wheels on my car. I used a TPMS tool from Amazon (which I returned after use) to verify the frequency of my sensors. I then purchased that frequency sensors from TireRack. Had the tire shop install them on the wheels, I mounted them on the car myself, and they just worked automatically immediately.
