If OE is around I'll tune it too. I want to break it in with the tune on.
What do these cars dyno stock? Anyone know yet?

Its a shelf tune with dynos done on other cars around the world plus he sponsors me (OE tuning) so Ill just try it out. I will though attempt to do before and after today if the dyno is open.

I always break my cars in hard and I usually tune them immediately so Im pressing the car thru the rpms with the tune installed vs the less aggressive setup. I understand others like to follow the manufacturers recommendations and that's fine as well but my cars always have been broken in this way and they run very strong.

Keith, my car dyno'd today (147 miles stock) on a DD heartbreaker at 447hp and the TQ was I think 401 lb/ft (sorry I don't have the sheets yet). Jeremy from OE tuning met me and placed the shelf tune on and we gained about 35 peak hp and 40 tq. But the gains are also thru the rpm range (3k to 6k) and I can definitely feel it as it adapts.

On dynojet these numbers would be higher but its all relative. Jeremy is going to do some adjustments tonight with the datalogging he did and see if he can get more. I think 35 and 40 are good numbers for a tune on a supercharged car.

I ordered the H&R springs and Benzworks in HB will do the install on the 22nd since they aren't available until the 18th from TireRack.

Thank you very much!! Those numbers are strong for stock. The main advantage of this car over the AMG is weight. The C63 weighed close to 4000# and the E55 or E63 is well over 4000#. This car weighs in stock at 3600# and that's a huge advantage!! Should only get better! Lol

Beautiful car bro!!

Vic55

Keller here from MBworld and Gtrlife. We've talked on other forums years ago.

Nice to see someone taking a stab at some tuning.

Can't wait to see the car with spring, I've been tempted to do the H&R setup myself.

Btw, nice color! Whit is always the fastest

Can you PM me your tuner info please.

Whats up Keller- you probably know Jeremy from BenzWorld especially if you had an M156 or M157 engine; that's his main area of tuning. I sent you the info via PM. You can download all the info via an app on an Android phone too.... pretty cool. After we installed the shelf tune, we went for a fun runs in 4th gear to properly data log the info and it was on all on point... timing is perfect. He has an even more advanced tune that is mated up with a pulley but I just wanted to start with the tune for now.

I track my XKR heavily and the wheels were the BIGGEST headache in the world. The widths for the XKR are 11" rear and 10" front but the make sure you get the offset correct. ADV sent me bad offsets but HRE got them spot on, also make sure you have the car measured for the wheels with the ride height you expect.

You also mentioned headers, there is a company here in Miami that is going to be offering a ton of new performance parts for the F Type. I'm actually attending a dyno day with them and the actual tuner tomorrow as he flew in from England to sort out some of the bugs in the Jags ECM tuning.

I'll post the results as they will have my XKR, a F Type R, F Type V6s, XF and a Mclaren... Think they are looking for an XJ as well.

Glad to see another Jag hitting the track I'm usually the only guy out there in a Jag!

Even though the Jaguar website lists the weight as 3638 lbs, all the magazine reviews have been reporting it to be much heavier (3873 lbs). Seems to be a big difference, even if Jaguar is reporting dry weight.

Yes I saw that too, do you think the mags were including the driver and some other things like a full tank of gas?

Thank!
Will give him a call. Does the exhaust sound the same as before the tune?

I would be surprised if they weighed it with people in it. I saw an article a while back that manufacturers have been using "dry" weight lately to make their cars seem lighter. Dry weight is with no fluids in it (oil, coolant, gas, etc). But even with fluids, I struggle to see how those would add up to a 250lbs difference in reported weight.

Same exact sound but since the throttle response has improved I find my self pushing it harder than before thus more rpm's = more sound
