Default using parking brake in emergency situation

probably a stupid question, but in cars with a typical emergency brake lever, it can be used to slow/stop the car in an emergency situation. What will happen if the parking brake button is pushed while moving in an f-type?

Everything you want to know about the electronic parking brake (EPB), including using it for emergency stops (“dynamic apply mode”)…

Summary: if you pull and hold the brake lever while moving, the car will gradually decelerate.

I remember wondering about this at one point and kinda forgot about it. Type of thing that is good to know ahead of needing it for sure ;-0

In a tangential vein, I always wondered (and worried a bit) what would happen if the dog stepped on the "P" button while the car was in motion.
