VAP guys, battery drain?
I just downloaded my stock tune with the VAP reader. I didn't see an option to disconnect. Does that mean my battery will drain unless I unplug the battery? Thanks.
You won't know until it happens.
1. Lock the car
2. Walk away
3. Come back in 5-10 minutes
4. Look through the windows and if the indicator lights on the door locks and the hazard light button is illuminated then you'll need to disconnect and reconnect the battery

I have connected and used the VAP V-Tech device some four or five times now, I simply turned the ignition off then pulled the OBD2 plug out when it had finished, and never had a single battery or electrical system problem.
Thanks for the replies guys. I did have the battery issue, and had to disconnect/reconnect the ground on the battery to reset. I'm not sure why my car likes to stay on and others don't.
I have to disconnect the battery after using the VAP ECU tool with my car. Seems like I have to disconnect the battery any time I get any OBD device even close to the port on my car.
I've never had that problem with VAP but I may have a different system than you do. Your signature does not indicate what year of model variant you have.
With mine, the screen gives instructions. When it says turn off ignition I do and when it says to disconnect, I do.
