Default Very first Jag, tons of questions!

Hi everyone! Just bought my first jag a few days ago ('17 f-type SVR) and noticed its unlike any car ive driven before. With that awesomeness, also come a few weird things about the car i just cant figure out and cant find answers on google. A few are:

1: Headlight switch...what are the bars under the "auto" option? Im assuming it has to do with auto high beams?

2: Any ideas why my car randomly whistles when the A/c is on low? Happens every time the A/C is on.

3: How long does the "what the F*%$" sensation from pressing the accelerator last?

Welcome, and the A/C whistling is a question for your dealer. Not normal.

Just keep reading, asking and enjoying. This is a great place to get questions answered. Some will get a bit testy, but you get that anywhere. They get over themselves eventually.
Welcome to likely one of the best auto forums on the net, for likely the best auto on the road.

The high pitch noise you get when AC is on and car is in Sport or Dynamic has to do with one of the AC lines buzzing against the body at higher RPM. My dealer said they could not reproduce. I took the tech for a test drive and even though I heard it clearly, he could not hear it. Maybe the pitch is too high since he said his hearing is not all that good. In the end the Service guy said they cannot fix what they cannot hear.

CONGRATS ON THE NEW SVR!! Im in LA as well and working on getting a deal on my SVR, I was told they couldn't get me the discounts added until the first week of November. Which dealer did you pick yours up from? I bought my 2014 V8S from Newport and everyone there was amazing. I had previously worked with Hornburg LA, and i hated their service.

I got mine from Rusnak Pasadena and got it discounted down to 114K. The reps were nice and the dealer seemed very motivated to sell

Looks menacing in black! Welcome to the tribe BTW.

Whistling a.c may be something as daft as the air piping/ducting having a little loose part inside obstructing the airflow ever so slightly and causing the whistle.
You should be able to tell if this is the case by speeding and slowing the fan to see if it changes in pitch or goes away completely.

Somewhere in Orange County since it's a central location. We're probably going to shoot for a Saturday in December next so just keep a look out.

Welcome to the glaring!
Black does suit the SVR, no doubt.
and pertaining to the question#3: why would you want it to end? EVER?

This.

Even the Base V6 can do a rolling burnout to the Rev-limiter in 3rd.

Admittedly, that was a well-used set of stock 20” Michelins, but still...

1) The bars indicate how long your headlights stay on after you leave the car (when its dark outside).

I dont ever want it to! But coming from a '14 Z51 vette that lost it's "holy s&*^" factor after a few months, I was wondering if this was the same. By the looks of it...i dont think so. Its already a week in and i still cant get used to the speed difference between the two..that supercharger does a hell of a job with throttle response.

But I agree on the Black, makes the Jag look sinister. Just wondering if I can call it a panther as opposed to Jag? lol!
