Default Warning tones?

Often I'm driving along in my new F-Type R and I get a double beep (warning tone I assume) but I can't figure why. Just flowing with light traffic. Any ideas? I don't find anything in the owner's manual that seems to apply.

I have had the same experience and cannot figure out the source either. I typically use Waze and am not sure whether it comes from Waze or the F-Type. It always happens while I am driving in the city, in the middle of traffic. I thought for a while it was related to the Blind Spot Assist function, but the manual does not mention any double beep warning tone.

Now that SCM mentions it, I got the tones today near what used to be a photo speed trap but now has only the speed monitor. I know another place that for sure has the speed camera so I'll check that out. Will let you know.

The camera warnings seem to be a bit random - I have one near me and I get the beeps when I'm travelling in the opposite direction to the camera!

Camera warnings? When did that become a feature in the F-Type?

About the time the auto brake dust remover was offered.

This question bugged me for a very long time... until I figured out the answer. If you have GPS view, it will beep as you approach fixed speed and red light cameras. It won't beep unless you have that view turned on. Hence, you can drive through intersection and not hear a warning, making it appear to be random.

Please expand on GPS View. Can't find a reference in my Owners Handbook (not even the one in the UK shop manual).

Isn't it just having the map view showing (i.e. satnav with no journey selected)?
Though I'm pretty sure mine beeps whether or not map view is selected - I'll check next time I drive past the camera..

Mine is definitely not related to the GPS or map view. It's around town and I have Sirius radio on. I plan on testing the red light or speeding camera theory but not until it stops raining here.

Beeps are definitely due to photo speed camera. There are also posts on other Jaguar model forums confirming same.

I can confirm you don't need the map view in order to get the beeps - I had my home screen showing and got them tonight.
