So who is going to warn him about a dead battery because he plugged his Carly into the OBD port ;-)

Is the Carly one of the devices that triggers the drain, then?

It did for me. Anything plugged into the OBD can cause the car insomnia ;-)

There is actually little support for Jaguar/Land Rover last time I checked so I returned it for a refund.

Good to see it running and running well with only a couple of minor problems (no TPMS valves and busted windscreen cleaner fluid hose).
But two more mistakes - he said it has 350 hp when it's really 375 hp (380 PS) stock and as it has obviously been tuned it's more likely to be 400/410/416 hp (and no mention by the tech of the non-OEM calibration DTC even after scanning it with SDD), and the tech repeated the mistake that it has a lithium ion secondary battery. I just went out to my garage to check my removed secondary battery and it most definitely is AGM not LI. The tech also said you can only get the secondary battery from JLR for a rip off price when it is in fact an Exide EK151 (the OEM battery even has Exide on the label), problem is I think it is tough to source that battery in the US.

Edit - you can get that battery from Holland for not a helluva lot and not an horrendous postage cost, see here: https://www.ebay.com/itm/35398968212...3ABFBMvIib_95g

I am surprised he has not mentioned the spoiler which is stuck in the raised position.

I wonder when he had everything apart if he bothered to check the air filters, cleaned out the MAS, replaced the hose clamps, etc. Wonderful opportunity to do all the little things.

It wouldn't surprise me if he hasn't realized that it's retractable.
I've gotten the impression that he isn't the most observant/detail-oriented person...

Thank you Kurt... You could have said more, obviously, but your comments were spot on.

Good stuff Kurt, I was thinking about adding a comment along the same lines!
I have added a reply to your comment correcting a common misunderstanding about the stop/start system and the secondary battery.

I have no idea where he gets this idea as I can't recall a single report of this on the AJ133 or AJ126 across the numerous Jag and F-Type forums I follow,
Yes the symptoms and especially the chocolate milkshake oil point to a blown head gasket so it will be interesting to see what he discovers once he figures out how to get the engine out and strip it down.
He also makes the age old mistake of talking about Ford this and Ford that.
Its all just low budget entertainment. It’s not real. I saw him repair an Audi and had to sell it at a loss and it still had engine problems.

And didn't he just re-gas the AC with R134 instead of R1234 ?

Not entirely Jaguar related, but it does address the issue of installing new DI injectors, and since this is "JRs" thread:

fairly informative and entertaining to watch. best thing I learned from this video is to use the automotive side entrance at Walmart. had to go in today to get some oil/filter for the LX470 and was in and out in 5 minutes! you have no idea how happy that makes me and had to share with you all.

Just used Isopropyl Alcohol on all my stick surfaces. Worked great on all the buttons and the door window/latch controller surrounds. On the steering wheel it got most of the goop off the top of the center wheel hub but that still needs more work. Also the audio/nav screen surround cleaned up well but also needs a second application. All in it took me a little over an hour to do all the buttons and both doors with two microfibres rags used. The key is using a liberal amount of alcohol to get the surface nice and wet as your rubbing. Otherwise the towel will drag the goop too much rather than dissolving it.
