What does the “MY” mean before year?

Jaguar's MY usually starts around March of the previous calendar year, just to add to the confusion. My MY18 was built at the end of March 2017.
Digit 10 of the VIN denotes the MY - G for MY16, H for MY17, etc. No I or O so skip them.
