Wheel problems, solutions, and what to do...
So in the first year of ownership, I cracked three of the wheels on my 2015 F-type R (well really two wheel with one cracked on two separate occasions). I ended up ordering a set of BC forged wheels as I figured the OEM were going to give me nothing but problems, so my questions for the erudite community, is:
Are cracked wheels a common issue with F types?
What should I do with my old set of cracked, repaired, and otherwise damaged wheels?

Jaguar wheels, being part of LR, are known to be heavy and sturdy. Especially compared to BMW wheels which are very flimsy.
BC Forge are an alternative if you want lighter weight wheels. Forged wheels may not crack but will still bend if you hit a pothole on 35-30 series tires.
When we bought the XE it was obvious the PO had hit every pothole she could find, all four tires were a different date and one of the rear wheels was cracked.
I wound up taking all the wheels to my local AWR and had them completely redone.
I typically keep the factory wheels for a set of cold weather tires and keep the pretty wheels with a set of summer tires for the warm weather.

I think it's just the difference between forged and non-forged rims.
My 2014 XJR has factory forged rims and I have never bent or cracked a rim. Only at 62K miles too. I have hit some massive pot holes with them too.
My old 2005 STR had factory cast rims and I had 3 out of the 4 get bent.

I have a theory about this. I have pretty much the widest rims and tyres I could fit on my cars without them rubbing. They are forged 21's. I reckon that the width helps straddle the pot holes more, I've been lucky and havent copped a bad hit on them. My missus on the other hand has OEM rims and had OEM tyres on her XE, dropped into a pothole when the car had done about 3000km and the tyre was rooted. So anecdotally in my household at least, wide tyres save rims.
Worth mentioning that R19's will probably hold up better due to the deeper tire sidewall's cushioning.
Based on track experience with other cars you would probably give up a bit of grip compared to the 21s but also find the 19s a bit easier to catch when they start to slide.

I also considered keeping a front and a rear in case I get a(nother) flat.
Also considering just selling them, does anyone who's been on here for longer think there would be any interest?
