Question Who all is headed to Monterey next week...?

It'll be car crazy here all next week with events happening all over the Peninsula...you'll need a helicopter to be able to see 2/3rd's of it,lol!

About 5-6 couples who are members of the SF chapter are coming down on Monday after picnicking at a winery in Soquel,my wife and I will meet up with them that evening for some wine and food in Carmel, they sound like a fun group so we're looking forward to that...and in getting involved with them for events in the future.

Anyone planning a visit? If so,the JCNA has about 20-25 cars in the Jaguar Corral on Saturday @ Laguna Seca.
I'm crewing on a buddies 1965 Lola T-70 Mk I but his race is on Sunday in the Can-Am group...as the Trans-Am boys run the main event on Saturday...I will certainly break away to the corral area to hopefully meet up with some new Jaguar friends...hope to some members from here there as well!

I'll be there for sure! Tentative agenda is to drive from SF to Monterey very early Saturday morning (6am) to make the Car & Coffee at Del Monte shopping center (hope it's a good turnout). Have a scheduled test drive of a Panny Turbo S at noon (may skip) at a Porsche event. Then it's play by ear, either one of the concourses/shows/auction or maybe Laguna Seca. Or maybe a drive on Carmel Valley Road (heard good things about this drive). Would stay the night for Sunday but a dinky Motel 6 is charging $400?!?!? But who knows, depending on schedule on Sunday, maybe I'll drive down again to see the races at LS if I didn't get to go on Saturday.

Just come out to Laguna...while it is a pricey ticket,it's THE day to be there to take in all the sights and sounds of perhaps the best historical racing day in all of motorsports..!

I'm still up for driving down. No agenda, first timer so I'm open to the events. Was trying to get a fleet of F-Types for the drive down and do a little filming for a music video project of mine.

Sorry. Had I known that not everyone got the invite, I would have shared mine. I got it several weeks ago but knew I wouldn't have time to drive up from down south so I threw it away. I got the invite via both email and flyer.

I did get this email. No special invite for me, but it looks like Jag will have stuff at the Rolex Reunion and Quail Lodge.

There's a guy selling tickets to Quail Lodge on Craigslist if you want to go see it on Friday. Think he wanted $500 but that's the full VIP, free drinks and meal package.

Default No email, dealer called

Our dealer called us, but we do a lot of Jaguar events with them so are likely on the short list.

I will certainly take pictures of the F-Type cutaway on Friday if they're set up by then, the crowds will be insane come Saturday.

Can you email me that link so I can open up the reservation info for the ride and drive outside of the Quail, I'd like to make it to that event early Friday if I can... john@buickfunnycar.com thanks!

Default Meet up?

For those who are coming to Monterey with their Jaguars, where would you like to meet up? I know that Del Monte is a possibility. Any one else have any other suggestions?

apparently not, it's no longer listed on the events page for Saturday. This is my tentative plans with alexg (we're coming from SF)

7 AM - Creamery SF (4th Street)
Take 280 to Highway 17 to Highway 1 to Monterey
9:30 AM - Arrive Quail Lodge for Jaguar Ride and Drive
10:30-11 AM - Arrive Ocean Ave Carmel for Brunch/Lunch

No idea how interesting the Jag Ride and Drive is...might stay longer, or shorter.
If you want to meetup along the way, lmk.
