Whereabouts are you based? I'm sure someone would be willing to come with their V8 and compare sound.

Is there any difference in sound between the active exhaust button being enabled or disabled? Or do both modes sound identical?

Slight change but not as much as before we us to call it the noisy button now it's the meh button.
It's defiantly opening the flaps as you can see them with a torch if you look down the tail pipe

Have you lost any power or is the car as strong as day one?

You might find this interesting, if you haven't seen it.

I wouldn't have thought you could see the valves, but it's just the V6 that has them upstream of the muffler. The V8 has them on the outer pipes.

I really can't answer about the power as I don't really drive it very often now and I drive a peogeut 207 1.4hdi van daily which has about 74bhp so anything feels fast after that I will admit I'm now looking for somebody with a rolling road to dyno it properly
Please don't judge me on my work van now feeling very ashamed

Where did you get the workshop manual? I could certainly use a hard copy. Using the online one is a PITA.

I no I could go and spend money getting it remapped but I don't see why I should after spending best part of 100k on a car I expect it to be right and if not put right under warranty plus remap would void the warranty on the engine as I've already asked.
I no my car is different to other cars I've been and test drove one at another dealership so as far as I can see it should be a warranty thing and not for me to sort out myself.
The weather hopefully should be better tomorrow so hope to get a video of it I have one from when we had it just need a now video.

I downloaded the complete manuals for the 2016MY F-Types from the JLR Topix site.
It isn't cheap and takes ages to convert it to .pdf's, but for me I just have to have it!
