Don't mean to hijack the thread, because I ordered a base 8-speed, but wanted to say that I am encouraged that you are regularly reporting the move-ups in your estimated delivery dates. Mine is coming down the same assembly line. I'm reading here, so keep the comments coming and ways to find and track your ordered cars. Thanks.

Dealership just told me that my F-type is at the dock being loaded on boat... delivery date changed (like others have already posted) from July 31 to July 24. Still not showing up on WW site.... but it sounds like I'm definitely on the next boat outta Southampton

You should be on the Tosca when it leaves on the 30th.

Do you know if it will it show up on WW tracking after it leaves the port or shortly after it is loaded on the Tosca? I'm literally checking dozens of times a day. It is getting sad, pathetic, and obsessive.... and utterly useless in terms of speeding up delivery

The car will show on the WW site as soon as it is booked (1 or 2 days before the ship departs port).

Yes, it'll show up. Do something else until Canada Day. Then about 2pm, get a Tim's or something from Swiss Chalet, sit down and have a look, and report back!

Of course, I had no self control -- checked this morning and voila -- looks like my F-type was loaded with 37 other Jags on the TOSCA leaving tomorrow.

Hope it makes it on the ship and that you didn't jinx it by looking early :-)

Thanks for the heads up. Looks like I'm on that boat too.

Torino - (with my V6S Manual onboard) seems to be quite late for it's arrival in the Canadian port of Halifax. It is my sincerest hope it does not rest in Davy Jones' locker, or some other sanctified portion of the briney deep.

Orkney.

Two days before mine. I still don't have a VIN, but am encouraged that they are shipping.

You are now the 12th member of our band of gear grinders on this forum.

My car has just arrived in Baltimore Harbor on the Atlantic Cartier. I'll drive past the port on my way home today to see if I can get a pic of the ship.

BTW, I just figured out why the ships are docked twice each in NY and Baltimore. The Roll Off facilities are on different docks from the container facilities. Dual propose ships have to shift accordingly.

Hi, lurker here... I put down a deposit for a 6-speed S two weeks ago today but I've yet to get a build sheet or a build date or anything fun like you guys here are always talking about.

This is starting to leave a bad taste in my mouth. How long should it take to get this first ball rolling? (And are some builds trickier than others? I did S/BRG/6MT/coupe/basic seats/tech pkg) I've emailed and called the dealer, they said "yeah soon" a couple of times. I don't want to get too impatient but this is not what I was hoping for.

I signed my deal Feb 28th and got a spec sheet confirming my build on April 9th. So, about 5 weeks. I don't think the nature of your build matters -- it's all about getting a slot on the production schedule.

Two weeks ago? I put down a deposit in November, knowing full well that they would not even be able to process the order until the factory finalized the specs.

Even now, the deposit ensures you're serious, but the dealers can't order anything at any time. This is a limited production vehicle, and the dealers only get so many slots and specific times they can place orders.

+1. I too put down the deposit in November. As lizzardo states, the dealer's available allocations will determine how quickly Jag gets back to them with a confirmed order. I had to switch from one dealer who only had a 6-speed convertible allocation at the time to one that had a 6-speed coupe allocation. Even then, had to wait until a month before the 6-speeds were released for production before I got the initial order sheet.

Looks like more vehicles have been added this morning to the manifest. So far there are 59 of us heading over on the TOSCA.
