Really look sick with Red &Black combo!
Can you post more pics?

Funny 'ole thing isn't it, but for me it absolutely ruins the rear end look.
I'm most probably on my own here, but, I think the coupe looks better than anything else on the road because of the rear haunches (yes, even better than my cab), but he black up the rear pillars to my eye at least, seems to negate the rear width aspect.

At the end of the day, if you like it, who gives a damn about others opinions ;-)...at least you have headlights that look like the cat is awake rather than sleeping!

@BruceTheQuail
Bruce, I LOVE the shot from the rear, over the roof. The line is perfect... ..I couldn't even see that when I made the simulation...

No, you are not alone here, I too feel the look destroys the beauty of the roof-to-rear haunches design.

@fujicoupe

Everybody is entitled to his/her opinion. But your remark does not compute : it doesn't do diddle with the haunches...

Yeah funnily enough I did have the concern at the time that I dont really like the look of any 'vert with the roof up, and what I was doing was to make my coupe look like a vert with the roof up! But I really like it and it seems to have its fans and it was a cheap and reversible mod, though I cant see myself reversing it.

I like it. The way you followed the lines of the back window to the rear windows really shows a great attention to detail.

@BruceTheQuail
Did you consider the 'sunglasses' on the front spolier emblem ? I think it suits the car with this look.. ..and something really 'layback style' for OZ..

Again, that’s why they print menus for restaurants. I’m not a fan of the black roof either except for my MINI.

I'm not quite sure what you mean to say. Can be a cultural/background thinghy...

Like : ".. I don't cook.. ..I eat my steak raw.." line of thought ???

Some sort of 'southern slang' ???

Cheers all, I wont say that it looks better in the metal (which it does - oops I said it!) but I dont particularly mind, Callum obviously didnt think it was necessary and there is great weight in what he does or doesnt do. I hope it all doesnt start an argument and to be honest while I really enjoy the concept of everyone expressing an opinion I cant be bothered reading posts pissing on it because it could only ever reduce my enjoyment of something that I did for my own pleasure, so I'll bow out of the thread now. Dan, yeah I have to say I like the glasses but I havent been there yet. I am obsessing a little at the centre caps on my wheels at the moment, I have seen some good ideas on the VS wheels thread but I dont want to take wheels off just to replace caps, maybe that can be at my next wheel balance time.

I don't think there is any cause for argument. It's all a matter of personal opinion and preference. You just have to overlook the fact that some folks express their opinions a bit less diplomatically than others.

I think its like in real life. When people start shouting they know they are wrong, but not ready to admit it...

@mv007F
Looks nice... But try to find out what it looks like after 5 years, if its removable, or if you take your clearcoat off when you peel it off...
Or, worst case : you have to scrub it of while it turns to shreds when you peel it back..

In Montreal you won't have much blistering sun, but still. Something to know before you begin.

Thanks Dan for the advice.
I’m actually planning to keep it for couple of months so I’m not worry on long term durability. I know few guys that did it and had no issues with clearcoat getting damage.
