brake light illuminates when brakes are pressed
Whenever I first start the car the antilock light stays on longer than any of the other lights. It soon goes off but the brake light comes on whenever I press the brake pedal. The brake fluid level is fine and all of the rear lights are operable. It appears the passenger rear brake isn't engaging. The rust on the rotor is visible. I don't notice any fluid level leaks. Please help me determine the source of this problem. Thanks!
Oh does anyone have a diagram of the passenger rear disk brakes. There is some sort of wire on the passenger side that's not on the drivers side. It connects into some plastic piece that sits on the rotor and is held in place by the inside rear disk pad. I didn't know what this was for and I wanted to make sure this is supposed to be there.

You do have a same car as mine , 1993 Jaguar XJ6
In my case, that culprit turned out to be a cut off brake pad sensors and taped , that's unacceptable , both brakes are good and ABS works fine . Have your brake wear sensors checked out .
BTW, not always I see brake light illuminates , it comes on occassionally
