Angry Electrical issues with lights/dash etc **UPDATED**

Ok so I am wiring up a new car stereo into my 78 jag. Now i have no lights, dash lights, indicators.

Sorted dash board, fuel gauges etc.

I still have no indicators or lights


Ideas??? Fuses are fine.....where to next? I have no wiring schematics

I presume the pics show your stereo wiring? Those junction strips are not Jaguar items.

The panel lights should have voltage from the red/white wire(s) coming off the rheostat. Voltage *to* the rheostat is red/blue wires as I recall. I start at the rheostat and work from there

Yes, and these are the only wires I have been tampering with, so how would they have an impact on the wiring system of dash etc? Thx again

It's easy enough to jiggle other wiring into failure mode when rooting around in there....loose connection, most likely

Now things are getting a little weird.....multiple circuit failures

I don't have a snappy answer. Just have to check each circuit step by step. Do you have a schematic?

No I don't, am waiting on manual to arrive in post.... the previous stereo wasn't factory, and perhaps they hooked up some dodgy wiring circut?? Just weird how dash/indicator and head lights all stopped
