Default Engine 3.8 triple carb

I have a 3.8 litre triple carb engine that I removed from a 1964 s-type saloon. This is not the original engine listed (7B -52115 -9) from the firewall nameplate.
The serial number of the engine is (RA - 4974 - 9) .
My question is what was the original car or model that is came from?

The RA prefix indicates engine originally fitted to an E-Type Series I. The core number sequence commenced 1001 and the 9 suffix is the compression ratio (either /8 or /9).
