Hood emblem

I'd expected you'd get an answer straightaway to this yesterday as so many US members have hood emblems fitted.
As far as I can recall from previous posts, they are designed to fit any model, available in two sizes and the choice is between a solid fixing or one that is removable from the base. Recently, black has become available as an alternative to the usual chrome plated finish. The cheaper ones look to be zinc and the more expensive ones made in steel.
The 'correct' choice appears to be down to personal preference but careful measuring before drilling the fixing hole is critical.
