I have a 2004 Jaguar Xtype
As I responded to your post in the x400 forum the AC is powered by the accessory drive belt and engaged by an electric clutch that is controlled by the Climate Control module. Now that I know it is a 2004 you need to provide some additional information. The 2004 model underwent a major electrical redesign. We need to know what the build date is for your vehicle to correctly identify the fuses, relays and circuits associated with the car.
On the door jamb of the drivers door is a decal that gives you the build date. Cars before April 2204 have a different wiring diagram than cars built April and later.
Let us know what the build date is and also give us some more info as to what kind of problems you are having with the AC.
