Default Illustrations in the wrong placement position on the page

Hi

Thanks for your expertise - I have my EPC back now however the illustrations are in the wrong place/
They appear in the top left hand side of the page.
My C:\Windows\System32\Macromed\Flash looks like this attached pdf file.

Any idea how I might be able to get the illustrations back in the correct page placememnt

Thanks Stuart

I'll go to the end of the Flash Player Pro test period to check this is a resilient solution before buying the software.

When you installed this Flash Player Pro V6.0,
it installs flash player 15 plugin, flash player 15 ActiveX and Flash Player Pro V6.0.
With "Revo Uninstaller" I was able to uninstall Flash Player Pro V6.0, and the plugin and ActiveX remained installed.
The plugin and ActiveX are what JEPC needs and keeps working (on my windows 8.1 Virtual Machine and JEPC 2013).
This probably also works with the native Windows uninstaller application.

Flash Player Pro V6.0 installed:

Flash Player Pro V6.0 uninstalled:

My JEPC in a VM is still working reliably more than two weeks after installation and I've used it several times a day. However, I like the idea of uninstalling the superfluous parts of Flash Player Pro V6.0 to leave a cleaner setup and I'll give this a go on a copy of the VM.

I downloaded Revo Uninstaller but found the current version 4 doesn't work with Windows XP. Support for this OS was dropped after version 2.

Is there a final solution? I've downloaded the Pro 6 app but the graphics appear top left (as others have also experienced) - not a suitable solution.

Not really. I have the same issue that you do on my Win10 machine BUT I installed JEPC on a virtual Win7 machine and it does work fine with the graphics in the correct spot. Spent way to many hours on this and was hoping a (simple?) solution would be found by now?

+1

I tried a few Flash Player alternatives but nothing delivered JEPC as it runs on-screen under WinXP, Win7 or Win8 so I gave up on that approach. My Win10 Pro PC has Oracle VirtualBox 6.0.24 installed with 'guest additions' and running Win7 Ultimate.

I use JEPC most days and often put screen shots in forum posts. Once I got used to the new way of running it, it loads quickly and performs in exactly the same way as on earlier Windows OS.

Graham, how did you downgrade to Windows 7 (I am assuming you were able to do this AFTER the 30day window)?

I didn't downgrade. I did a clean install of Windows 7 Ultimate from an ISO and licensed it under the terms of the Microsoft OEM System Builder License.

Graham, I noticed in the info page for 6.0.24 that it lists support for Windows 10. Did you install Windows 7 due to the limitations of JEPC?

YES - it was the FlashPlayer removal in Windows 10 that prompted my search for another convenient method of accessing JEPC. I considered dual boot Windows 10 and Windows 7 Ultimate but Oracle VM on my Windows 10 PC was the simplest solution.

I have a number of VM's for legacy applications so adding another for JEPC was my best option:

Does anyone know what the latest version of JPEC is that is 'out there' and available (preferably free, or at least not for something unreasonable...)

Mine appears to be October 2009. It does have the XK models, but nothing newer.

I see a 2018 version listed here https://www.epcatalogs.com/jaguar-je...-catalog-2016/ (but that's $100, and not sure how much I trust them...)

I also notice that they list the E-type being included - that's not in the version I have - did Jaguar add that to EPC retrospectively?

Thanks,
Steve

The version I'm using is from 08/2018 and I haven't seen a later 'offline' one offered for sale. It does include the E-Type (although with very little information) and models up to the E-Pace.

The one you've linked doesn't include E-Pace so it must be older than 2018.

Upgraded my 'forum' PC to Windows 11 today expecting to find the usual swathe of Apps no longer working. Fortunately my Oracle VM Windows 7 Ultimate with JEPC installed still runs correctly as it did in Windows 10.

Got it to work. Awkwardly, but for something I use a few times a year, just fine. Issue is getting JPEC to display *.png picture files. Blocked by security settings.

Install Win 7 Ultimate using Virtualbox.
Download JEPC '13 and install under Win 7 VM.
Problem: photos being blocked by Win 7's Internet Explorer 8 (?) release. Or maybe Win 7 internet security.
Opened Win 7 VM internet options "Security settings".
Set lowest available level of security.
Set all Active X security restrictions to "Enable" (meaning I shut them off or turned them on as appropriate to set minimum or no security).
Back to JEPC. Select Jag part image down to end of selection tree: Select "fullsize image" icon. Pic opens blank with security warning at top.
"....Click here to change your security settings" >>> "Active content blocked" >>> "allow blocked content" ... Security warning "yes". Pic appears.
(Until the above security settings were disabled, JEPC's *.png pic would not appear.)
Shutoff VM Win 7 internet access, since it's only ever used for JEPC.

Anyone know how to get the *.png image to appear without the security warning dance, please post. Thanks!

Graham, thanks for your comment that you got it to work under Win 7. Kept me looking for a solution.

Where are the original instructions for installing EPC? Edit - found them. Will try again
