Leather embossing - help please?
Good morning,
I am looking to emboss a coat of arms on the backrest of rear seats.
The image below serves as a reference for the position. Ideally, I would much prefer embossing, but I am finding it challenging to find an embosser, given the intricate details of the coat of arms. I have become, therefore, open to consider alternative solutions as, for example, laser transfer in colour (below, a Photoshop rendition).
.
.
A specialist is scheduled to reconnolize all the leather and add piping to it, next week. As part of this process, the leather will be disassembled from the frame, making it accessible for embossing or laser transfer or alternative methods. However, the specialist is not experienced in either embossing or laser transfer and understandably hesitant to attempt it without prior knowledge.
I am considering attempting the embossing myself and have found some options (*) that may be suitable. However, I am unfamiliar with embossing techniques and unsure if this is something I should undertake independently.
Any advice on the preferred method or alternative suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
