Lucas Ignition Amplifier
My Lucas Ignition Amplifier failed on my 1968 XKE coupe Series 1.5 I have several options and wanted to know if any other owners have had this experience.
I can replace entire unit for about $250.00.
I can replace the GM ATI unit for about $60.00
I can replace with a Pertronix Unit for about $165.00
My thoughts are if this unit has failed as so many GM ATI's are I just doomed for another failure?. Is the Pertronix unit that much better and reliable?
