Hey all, trying to buy a Mongoose or Mangoose clone for SDD v130. I plan on using it for my X100 cars. I've seen a bunch of links for the clones, etc, and they all have a higher V160+ reference, and say they are for cards 2005 and on.

Can anyone point me in the right direction for a cable that should work with SDD V130 in legacy IDS mode?

Have you looked at British Diagnostics?
I did not get my clone cable from them but they claim to have a warranty of 1 year at least?

Not very expensive plus they claim to have tested it for module reprogramming as well. Whatever that means?

Great minds think alike. I ordered their cable and just waiting for arrival across the pond. Going to post action shots of it here when I get it.

 

I bought their clone a long time ago.

It worked for a little while, then stopped. I suspect it's no different than any of the other clones out there.

British Diagnostics was very responsive in helping me to get it to work and connect to my car. Once I was able to confirm that it worked, that was it. No more responses, no more help. Nothing.

I would recommend you use it only when absolutely necessary. I suspect the less you use it, the longer it will last, so don't use it as a code reader, or anything like that. Get in, reset your TPS, and get out.

 

Put "British Diagnostics" into the All search function and wade through the responses.

Then make your mind up.
