Default Preferred method of editing CCF files?

I need to remove an option from my Range Rover. I know what byte it is, but that option is not configurable in SDD. It is grey'd out if that makes sense. I have obviously read the CCF, I know what byte it is, but not quite sure the best way to edit it, or which bits to set. Currently it's 05 (hex). Presumably there are other components on the same byte? Or is it as simple as making it 00? I saw engineering mode in SoftwareDownload.htm, but that doesn't connect to my vehicle. I guess I could just open that, locate the byte, find it in a hex editor, change it (05--->00?) and flash it via SDD-just want some sort of confirmation first I guess.

This is for AFS lighting, byte 156.

Thanks

Default Hi,

I really don't want to resurrect a old page, but have you fixed your afs? And if yes how you deleted the option from car? Thank you!
