I just had 1996 XJ6 for my son, we have black key, valet key
and remote control that belongs to some other Jaguar.
Is it possible to reprogram this remote control so would work with his car
if not possible how can I get one would work with the car.

You can programme the remote yourself provided it's the right one for a 1996 XJ6. Follow this link for the procedure:
