secondary camchain tensioners
you take out the crank sensor under the engine in front of the trans. remove the rubber covver and line up the oblong slot. Insert tool and snug the bolt for the crank sensor you removed to hold it in place(I actually never use that tool, I just make sure the hole is lined up and lock the cams.) The crank wont move if youre doing upper tensioners, if you do it all then use the crank lock
If you are doing primary and secondary chains/tensioners, you can use a bolt in place of the crankshaft setting plug in a pinch. I think 5/8" x 2" should work. No way to really tighten the bolt to hold in place, so it will move slightly if the crankshaft moves, but it will prevent major movement and acts as a visual reference to make sure the crankshaft setting hole is lined up. Not ideal, but workable.
