Default Suggestion for Auto Mfrs

Instead of having a message that says "check oil pressure", please make it say "pull the car over now and do not drive it any further!" This would greatly help me. Yes, I'm a woman! lol

I don't think those messages are "women friendly". I'm being stereotypical but most of women are not that savvy about this stuff.

I now am replacing my engine. Thank you very much!

Okay, I feel a little bit better.

Thank you very much.

Ouch!
My mother inlaw used to drive her car until the oil light came on, then put a quart in and drive it until the light came back. She had the car for 5 years or so and never changed the oil!

I guess I am too old school for modern day cars. Whatever happened to the days of hopping in the car to do a drive, leaving the phone behind (because there was no such thing as a mobile phone of any sort), rolling down the windows, leaving the cares of the world behind and simply going for a nice cruise on some random back road? So you got lost. You bought a map at the local gas station, figured out where you were and made your way back home.

I guess I miss the easy life. Can't wait to get my classic car and leave the phone at home to go on a "drive". When I make it back, who knows.

Thermo:

I'm back to living in the good ole days--since taking early retirement.

I fight adding minutes to may TracPhone, as I don't want to be found (by wife and kids.) I use my cell phone to call neighbors to tow me in if my boat won't start--a too rather common occurrence

I do cruise the back roads, but only use MapQuest to find the least expensive gas stations along my routes.

And I do have a Hotmail account, but I seldom check it for messages--unless I'm ordering something online.

Some of us do live the simple life. Now, if everyone would quit looking at my red XK8, I could be much more incognito.
