Default turbo on a 4.2?

ah so has anyone put a turbo on a 4.2 sc engine? ive been searching for a 4.2 sc for a project and have found one without the supercharger. obviously turbo will only work on this motor as it has some better internals then the n/a model. wondering 1. in theory it should work, im well versed in tig and mig so i can do the pipe work, its not going in a jag so engine bay space isnt and issue. anyone see any issues? 2. what sort of psi could it handle? 8 to 12psi?
thanks

If it's not in a Jaguar how are you going to control the engine? Not really any aftermarket stuff for the Jaguar 4.2L V-8.
What transmission are you going to use?

As always the mechanical part is not that hard but the electronic part is the killer. At least the early STR engines did not have VVT so they are much simpler to operate.
Are you aware of MegaSquirt? Maybe that would work?

so, looking at either a motec, haltec or denso ecu. haltec is what im most familiar with. as for trans, either a zf6hp or a zf6s53z, the engine in questions is from an earlier xjr

We would love to see it when you get it running. Not many are brave enough to use a Jaguar engine. I have seen maybe 2 in aftermarket applications.
