Default Wheel Stuck

After removing the lug nuts my wheel won't come off. Any suggestions on removal?

Try to gently persuade it with a plastic or rubber mallet. Don't get too crazy on beating the thing. It really shouldn't take much. You may also try shooting some WD-40 between the wheel and hub. Give it time to penetrate.

Had the same happen on my '03 X-type the first time I removed the wheels. The right front was stuck to the hub. After shooting plenty of liquid wrench and WD40 etc. I finally got it loose using a pry bar behind the wheel and using a dead blow mallet on the front in the area of the studs. Now every time I remove the wheels for whatever reason I smear anti-sieze on the area where the back of the wheel contacts the hub and on the center of the wheel where it fits over the hub and also on the lug nut threads and where they make contact with the wheel. So far I've never had one stick again.

I finally got the wheel off by prying it from behind with the lug wrench. It was fortunate that I was doing repair work on the car and needed the wheel off. Otherwise I would not have been able to get it off in the event that I had gotten a flat on the road and needed to change to the spare. As a result I'm going to lube the surface area on the inside of all the wheels.
