XJ door mirror action

Smile XJ door mirror action
Hi, I have noticed that one of my door mirrors isn't very smooth in its action of opening or closing!

Can they be lubricated using WD40 etc?

Remove the press-fit plastic housing to clean and lubricate.
Pressure wash and air dry. Apply silicone lubricant where needed.
