XJL 2013 AWD need rebuild seized engineTo start the car had a chain noise so I ordered a chain kit and the synchronization kit and prowler injector. The disassembly is quite long no big difficulty apart from taking out the injectors. I discovered two broken bolts in the block on the right side a broken chain guide then the tensioner without pressure so I repaired the 2 broken screw holes I reassemble the chain, a new water pump Gate seal crank etc I start the engine and run perfectly finish to build all going in the road all is perfect after only a few kilometers at 100 kmh the engine has some misfires and turns off I try to start the engine not turning. I have the XJL towed home, I dismantle everything very quickly 4 hours the impossible to turn the engine from the crank bolt I manage to reverse and I am positioned in neutral so I check my timing with the cam tools and that of the fuel pump everything is in its place it is still perfectly synchronized. I remove the chains tensioners guide I have a broken nut in the block this time on the left! I turn the 4 cams and everything turns perfectly. I ran out of time I am with my boy for the holidays I will take the engine out Friday or Saturday. i wiil need some advice thank to follow my post and help me if you can !! i will post pictures

Very hard to understand your post? So not sure this was done?
But be very careful turning the engine as it MUST only be rotated in the clockwise direction or engine damage will occur.

Thank you for taking the time to respond
clubairth, I know that turning the motor counterclockwise is not good at present the motor is impossible to turn from a certain position I will have to turn it counterclockwise also to decouple from the transmission. I'm going to need your help on the direction to take to rebuild it, I'm going to have several questions. The first would be why are the guide bolts broken? I understand when the hydrolic tensioner no longer has any resistance the chain hits the guide after changing the timing kit I don't understand why a bolt broke there was no slack on the chain. Thank for your help
OK good!
The broken bolts are a new problem and I have not seen that reported before? I think it was done by someone prior to you doing any work? Even when worn severely I have not seen broken bolts in the rails or tensioners?
So hopefully if anyone has they can post why it happened?
