Default Better Batteries Are Coming

This article argues that GM will have Lithium Metal batteries in production as early as 2023. The promise is solutions with 400+ mile ranges and far faster charging times. If they show up in time, this could be a huge game-changer. GM sees lithium-metal battery tech as a next step for more range, lower cost (greencarreports.com)

What you never get told until you've got a car with the "new battery technology" is the downside of it. This could be lack of service life. but who knows ? Of course there were downsides to buying internal combusion engine cars in the early days too, but we weren't yet born !
