Real world range?

If you do a lot of miles for work that is not a small concern, it is a BIG concern, because you will be almost totally reliant on public chargers, and these can be OOO especially when you're down to your last 10 miles of range ! Tesla have all the advantages at present when it comes to charging with their own Tesla-exclusive charging points. The only problem with Tesla is the build quality and the awful interior, (yes, I have sat in one near here, in Knutsford, England). Tesla having started from scratch have very impressive technology on the battery and electric technology side, but are still in a steep learning curve when it comes to quality and back-up, (at least thats in the UK, anyway)

Agree with this. Highway driving kills the range. I did a trip last weekend from central NJ to central long island (about 83 miles). Started with a full charge. By the time I got home that evening was down to 30%. Some of that was that the trip through NYC took 2.5 hours and some of it was on the drive home I was doing 70+ most of the way. When just doing local trips or shorter distances (10-20 miles) I without highway driving can go a whole week without charging and still be north of 50%.

Early days yet (<400 miles total driven) but I estimate I'm getting somewhere in the 180-200 range commuting (some highway, some local). Have to use Eco mode and high regen to get the best range. I don't skimp on comfort though (seat heat, steering wheel heat, climate precondition - I live in Boston Metro - It's cold).

Hello when you say "Tracks" do you mean actual miles driven or miles shown on the range indicator. Most of the pre-H264 cars would show very high mileage which was calibrated with the H264 Update.
Thanks

sorry for being imprecise. I meant the battery charge level indicator reads 250 miles now after full charge. I have not done a calculation myself using the odometer. I will, however, and report back.

Just remember the range is an estimate, weather, altitude (going up or down not air density), how aggressively you drive all have an impact on range. This is something that needs to get a ton smarter than it is for it to truly be useful, because, I agree, the range you are given at the start rarely is very close to what you actually get. In my case, the initial range is around 280 miles but my dealer is 180 miles away and while getting there (almost all downhill) isn't an issue and I have a lot left, getting home is always a nail biter where I'm often down to low double or even single digits.
