My new Spanish friend has a 2000yr S type Exec 3ltr. On top of his gearbox woes he would like me to obtain for him some Scuffmaster.

I understand from another thread that the colour of the interior leather is somewhere on the Vin plate. So I can get this info from him can you please tell me where that plate is and which are the relevant numbers to look for. The car is dark green colour with beige/sand leather.

In the US it is on the tag on the inside (latch) side of the left hand (drivers) door. It might be on the right door in your area, so you might have him check there first. It is pretty self explanatory, so he should be able to decipher it pretty easily.

 

Thanks Midlife. This is a Spanish reg car so the drivers door is on the left. Which of the numbers on the vin will be the interior colour code? (or is it named as such?)
