Lamb's wool floor mat sizes?

Lamb's wool floor mat sizes?
I just recently purchased a set of lamb's wool floor mats for my 2005 XJ VDP. The rear mats were about 1/2 to 3/4 the length of the OEM rear floor mats. I asked the vendor about it (thinking it was an error) and he said all lamb's wool rear floor mats are made shorter than the OEM mats. I don't see any logic behind this. Has anyone else with lamb's wool floor mats for an JX long body experience short rear floor mats? The front mats are the correct size.
